Creamline held a 2-1 match advantage, but Chery Tiggo remained pesky and pushed for a decider after a dominant fourth set win, 25-17.
The Crossovers were down late in the stretch of the fifth set, 10-7, before pulling a 3-0 rally led by Renee Peñafiel’s offensive prowess.
Both teams played cat and mouse as Michele Gumabao and Ces Robles traded kills that sent the match to 14-all.
Rookie Peñafiel showed bravery over Gumabao and blocked her shot to give Chery Tiggo the match point advantage, 15-14., This news data comes from:http://ivvs-ypdg-wlh-ttq.ycyzqzxyh.com
Gumabao quickly made up for her mistake and orchestrated a crosscourt attack that tied the match at 15-all.
However, Gumabao made a costly service error on which Chery Tiggo capitalized as Creamline made a net touch violation.
Peñafiel made 18 points, while Robles and Pauline Gaston added 16 and 10 markers, each for Chery Tiggo’s victory.
Creamline was led by Jema Galanza, who poured in 23 points, while Gumabao made 21 points.
